Freedom is a beautiful thing, isn’t it?
In my curiosity about life and its many mysteries, I found myself in a kind of woe—strangely compelling, if such a thing exists. It was the kind of struggle that forces reflection, the kind that reveals deeper truths about the self.
At times, we are quick to hold other people responsible for the difficult situations we find ourselves in. At other times, we become trapped in conflicts created by our own restless and distorted thoughts. We argue within ourselves, replaying scenarios, nurturing offenses, and magnifying wounds.
But here’s the hard truth:
The issue is not the people around you.
The issue is not even the circumstances you’re facing.
The issue is you.
You were not given this life simply to be hurt, offended, or perpetually disappointed. You were given life to live it with purpose—to shine as light and to stand as salt in a broken and distorted world.
When we allow resentment, bitterness, and insecurity to take root, we silently give others permission to control our peace. But freedom begins the moment we take that permission back.
Choose to be free—from hatred, anger, jealousy, insecurity, self-reliance, and selfishness. These things do not define you, nor do they deserve authority over your life.
It is a privilege to be alive. And it is an even greater privilege to represent the One we serve.
