Getting Desperate For Love

When I was younger, I always pictured love as someone giving you flowers and chocolates, and that flutter of butterflies in your stomach. Love, to me, was about feeling good—a beautiful but shallow cycle in itself.

Back then, it never occurred to me to truly understand or love “love,” especially during my dating years. I was often swept along by emotions and heartbeats. Don’t get me wrong—I don’t regret marrying the man of my dreams! 😍

But tell me—can we lose love, save love, waste love, and still find love again?

Marrying Leandro was an aha! moment for me. Our journey hasn’t always been simple or perfect, but I can say this with certainty: it has been a profound expression of God’s redemption at work in our lives.

Learning and Relearning

Leandro and I have been married for almost four years now, yet every day we continue to learn—and relearn—what true love really is. Our story is different from Adam and Eve, Boaz and Ruth, or Joseph and Mary. Still, we choose to learn from the greatest source of love there is: God Himself, who is Love.

In our home, mistakes are allowed—but forgiveness is essential. We make a conscious effort to be patient with one another’s flaws and quirks. We’ve learned each other’s love languages so we can serve one another more intentionally. There are countless ways to show love to your spouse, and sometimes, the smallest gestures speak the loudest. ❤️

Celebrate Love

Love has the power to soften even the hardest heart. Yes, it’s possible. True love can transform, heal, and revolutionize lives. That’s why love is worth celebrating—every single day.

Love is a gift, a very special one. Make memories with the people you love. Make them meaningful. Make them unforgettable. 💑

Leandro and I travel together, leave surprise love notes for each other, laugh at each other’s jokes, and yes—we hug, kiss, hug, kiss, hug, and kiss again. There’s so much joy, fun, and adventure when you choose to grow together. 😍😋👍🏻

Some of you may be walking through battles or seasons of disconnection caused by painful experiences. That kind of pain often leads us to the only One who can truly satisfy a longing heart. Keep moving forward. God’s grace will carry you through.

Trust Him.

P.S. Don’t give up on loving. 😊
